Hertie School of Governance
Christian Kastrop is a Senior Fellow at the Hertie School of Governance. He is Director of the Policy Studies Branch of the Economics Department of The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The branch is responsible for structural reforms, macroeconomic and public economic analyses and policy advice, also covering monetary, financial and G20 issues. Until March 2014, he was Deputy-Director General, Economics and Strategy Department and Director of Public Finance, Macroeconomics and Research Directorate in the German Federal Ministry of Finance. From 2008 - 2010 he served as Chairman of the Economic Policy Committee of European Finance Ministers (ECOFIN-EPC) and Chairman of the EPC-Eurogroup in Brussels. He is a lecturer at different national and international institutions.
