Christie Hunnicutt

Christie Hunnicutt is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Connecticut, and currently holds the position of Vice President of Adult Services at Wellmore, Inc., a nonprofit community behavioral health center. In this role, she provides program oversight, data evaluation, grant writing, and program development for residential and clinical services for adults challenged with substance use and mental health issues. She has 15 years of clinical experience treating children, adolescents and adults in for profit and nonprofit clinical settings in both Texas and Connecticut. Ms. Hunnicutt currently holds a private practice in Connecticut, where she treats adolescents and adults, specializing in eating disorders, trauma and mood disorders.

She serves as adjunct faculty and held an associate professor appointment at Southern Connecti-cut State University, and held an adjunct faculty position in the Smith College School for Social Work. She has served as Clinical Instructor for the Yale University Post-MSW Fellowship pro-gram for the past 7 years, where she provides clinical supervision and consultation to students seeking post-graduate training for clinical licensure.

Ms. Hunnicutt is a doctoral candidate in Social Work at Smith College and holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from the University of Texas School of Social Work (2002). She has con-tributed to published articles on the topic of clinical supervision and has special research interest in this topic, as well as community-based health organizations, integrated behavioral health care and the correlation between trauma and post traumatic growth.
