ILR School

She is a social worker and organizer dedicated to the transformation of labor and the development of dignified, just, and safe workplaces. Her training as an OSHA Authorized Trainer for General Industry and Construction has allowed her to pursue this mission.

With 20 years of work experience, she has spent 7 years facilitating OSHA courses in English and Spanish for General Industry and Construction. These experiences complement her commitment to improving conditions and supporting others, as demonstrated through her outreach work and engagement with construction day laborers through community organizations. She has collaborated with both workers and managers to enhance work site conditions and standards, showcasing her passion for occupational health and safety.

In 2020, she made the decision to join the Action OSH cooperative and become a member of their training team. Throughout her career, she has developed skills in program development and management of health and safety initiatives, actively engaging at all levels of organizations and participating in every phase of projects.

She has shared her knowledge and motivation to cultivate a Safety Culture through grassroots training and direct support to companies. Currently, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, she has taken the lead in educating various sectors about the risks and control measures related to the virus, while also providing assistance in the development and implementation of safety plans.

During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her pet and immersing herself in nature.
