Dr. Christoph Achenbach has 20 years of practical experience in various management positions. From 1997 onwards he was a member of the board of Quelle AG and became its chairman in 2001. After the merger with Karstadt he served as the CEO of KarstadtQuelle AG until 2005. Subsequently, Achenbach was nominated CEO of Klingel, a family-owned corporate group. Following his time as a partner at the consulting company Intes, he founded the BfUN GmbH, Cologne, as a managing partner. In addition, he has for many years been a member and chairman of various advisory and supervisory boards. His work as an advisor focuses on all matters regarding business succession within the family and the areas of corporate governance, advisory and supervisory boards. Furthermore, he is the co-editor of the journal "Der Aufsichtsrat" and the author of practice-oriented publications for professionals.
