  • 2014: Visiting professor in Translation Studies at the Translation and Interpreting Institute, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar.
  • 2006-07: Visiting lecturer in Italian Studies at the University of Manchester, Italian Studies.
  • 1999-2002: Tenured researcher/assistant professor in Translation and Course Leader for the English Dept. of the 3-year degree course in Translating and Interpreting at the University of Genova, Faculty of Modern Languages and Literature.
