Biography
Christopher von Baeyer, Senior Consultant with the Ariel Group Inc, is an actor and educator who specializes in the integration of theatre and human development. Over the course of his 20-year career, he has coached thousands of men and women in the art of public speaking, emotional intelligence and interpersonal communication. He has taught at a number of leading business schools including: Harvard, Kellogg, Boston College and Columbia. His corporate clients have included Merrill lynch, Lucent Technologies, Deloitte and Touche, and the Boston Consulting Group.

Chris is an actor, educator, and consultant who specializes in the integration of theatre and human development. He designs and delivers theatre-based programming in leadership and professional communication for clients across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Corporate clients have included Société Générale, Rogers Communications, Deloitte & Touche, Sandia National Laboratories, Boston Consulting Group, the Canadian government and the Hearst Corporation. Over the course of his 30-year career he has coached thousands of men and women in the art of leadership presence, emotional intelligence, interpersonal communication, Shakespeare, and voice. He has taught at the Harvard Business School, Emerson College, Boston College, the Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Chicago and the Columbia University Senior Executive Program in New York. He has served on the faculty as well as the Advisory Board for Leadership Development at the Banff Centre in Alberta, as well as the board of the Centre for Playback Theatre in New York. In 2014 he returned from a two-year work sabbatical traveling and living between Bali Province, Indonesia and Berlin, Germany.
Chris is deeply committed to employing the arts as a creative tool for promoting dialogue on issues of social and civic concern. In July 2015 he completed an intensive training with Al Gore to become certified as a member of the Climate Reality Leaderships Corps. For 10 years he served as the Artistic Director for Toronto Playback Theatre, which he founded with the mission of providing professional improvisational and audience-interactive theatre for diverse communities the Toronto area. He holds a BA in English and American literature from Harvard University and an M.A. in Theatre Arts and Vocal Communication from Lesley University Graduate School.

Theater Experience
- Has trained, performed, and directed with theaters, including Roy Hart Theatre in France, Geese Theatre for Prisons in New Hampshire, Boston Playback Theatre, and Shakespeare & Company in the Berkshires of Massachusetts.
- Served on the faculty of Shakespeare & Company since 1993.
- Designed Linklater Voice Teacher, and ran the Linklater Voice Studio in Boston for five years.
