Clarence Tan

Mr Clarence Tan is currently data analyst at a Tech MNC, assisting in data analytics and integrity projects to assist the strategy and portfolio team to perform data-driven decision making. He is also a data analytics/science instructor in various coding institutions in Singapore which includes General Assembly, Le Wagon, Vertical Institute and SG Code Campus and has taught close to 1000 students. He used to be come from accounting and finance background before making a career switch to data and tech. He has worked in various financial institutions in Singapore, participating in analytics and development projects to provide insights for campaign optimisation and credit risk management.

He is proficient in visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau and Excel. He is also proficient in coding with Python and SQL. He is also familiar with analytics tools such as SAS and JMP.

He graduated from Singapore Management University with a Bachelor of Accountancy and a Masters of IT in Business (Analytics Track). He has also attained the Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) from Institute for Adult Learning (IAL).
