INSEAD Business School
Claude Viallet is Emeritus Professor of Finance at INSEAD where he has been teaching since 1978 and a Visiting Professor of Finance at Northwestern University since 1984. He received his Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin and his PhD in Finance from the Northwestern University. He is also a graduate of the Institut du Génie Chimique de Toulouse.
Before joining INSEAD, he was successively project manager in a major oil company and chief financial officer in a service company in Paris.
His research and teaching interests are in corporate finance, investments, international asset pricing and financial risk management.
He was President of the European Finance Association in 1981-1983 and he has published in leading academic and professional journals. He is also a co-author of books on portfolio theory, and on corporate finance.
He has organised, directed and taught in management development programmes in Europe, Asia and Latin America since 1980.
