Colette A.Frayne,Ph.D.,is an adjunct faculty member at California Lutheran University. She served as professor of International Business and Human Resource Management at Cal Poly’s Orfalea College of Business for 22 years. Professor Frayne is President and CEO of an international management consulting firm where she is actively involved in international management consulting and executive development programs in North America,Europe,and the Asia-Pacific region. Colette's clients include a variety of domestic and multinational organizations, including several Fortune 500 and Fortune Global 100 organizations. She also serves on the Executive Board of the Educational Sports Institute, located in Los Angeles, California.

Colette’s teaching, research, and consulting expertise is in international business and human resource management/organizational behavior, particularly in expatriation and knowledge transfer, self-management, power & influence, corporate social responsibility and organizational change, particularly in international joint ventures and alliances. Professor Frayne has authored a book and approximately 75 published papers and case studies. Her research has appeared in such prestigious journals as the Journal of Applied Psychology, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management Inquiry, Academy of Management Executive, Journal of Management Education, and the Journal of International Management.

Colette has also taught at the University of Western Ontario - IVEY (Canada);Texas Christian University (USA); University of Washington (USA); University of Delaware (USA); InstitutPengembangan Manajemen Indonesia (Jakarta); LajosKossuth University (Hungary); the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration - AALTO (Helsinki & Mikkeli, Finland,Taiwan,Singapore,Korea); Monterey Institute of International Studies(USA), Pepperdine University (USA), Poznan School of Banking (Poland);and Bond University (Australia). She has also delivered courses for Insead(Switzerland). Colette is active in both Undergraduate, Graduate and Executive training programs both domestically and abroad.

Professional credits include the University Distinguished Teacher Award from both Cal Poly and Ivey Business School, and Outstanding Professor from the Helsinki School of Economics. Colette also received two prestigious awards from the Academy of Management and the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology for her research in the area of self- management. Professor Frayne earned a B.S. from the University of Delaware, an M.B.A.from the University of San Diego,and a Ph.D.from the University of Washington,Seattle.

Personal hobbies include watching and playing all types of sporting activities. Her favorite sports teams are the New York Yankees, The Denver Broncos and the San Antonio Spurs. Colette’s favorite athletes are Mariano Rivera, John Elway and Tim Duncan. She also enjoys watching theWWE, the UFCa nd Boxing! Her favorite WWE wrestler is Batista, favorite kickboxeri n the UFC is the “Iceman” Chuck Lidell, and favorite Boxer is Mike Tyson. Colette is a former athlete in University and remains an active kickboxer,swimmer and work out warrior! She also enjoys cooking various types of vegetarian cuisines,traveling and listening to music and attending concerts.
