Biography
Rhodes Business School
Courtney Goode is a landscape architect, educator and researcher whose work amplifies and explores productive overlaps between cultural narrative, ecological systems and material processes in landscape architecture. This line of inquiry guides her approach in modulating urban landscapes to provide meaningful human experience rooted in place, improved ecological health, climate resilience and social equity.
Goode is a registered landscape architect and principal of Goode Landscape Studio, which focuses on research, design and communications that promote critical issues in landscape architecture. Material experimentation, visual representation and the tension between ecology and design underpin her academic work. She has contributed to award-winning built and speculative design projects; has been published in Landscape Architecture Magazine, Landscape Architecture Frontiers and multiple Harvard University publications; and has exhibited in the US and abroad in such venues as the Broad Museum in Los Angeles. She holds an MLA from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a BFA with honors from the University of Texas at Austin.
