Daniel Blaseg is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship in the department of strategy and general management at ESADE since September 2019. Daniel received his Ph.D. in quantitative marketing from the Goethe University Frankfurt (Germany) and holds master degrees in law (LL.M.) and finance (M.Sc.). Before entering academia, he gained practical experience as a consultant for venture capital transactions and startup acquisitions at a leading corporate finance boutique in Germany and as co-founder and CFO of several startups.
Daniel's primary research interests lie at the intersection of entrepreneurship, finance, and marketing. A particular focus concerns the economics and regulation of alternative sources of entrepreneurial finance such as crowdfunding. For his research, Daniel received several best paper awards from prestigious conferences (e.g., KSG Best Entrepreneurship Research Award) and early career prices (e.g., BAI Science Prize 2019 in Alternative Investments).
