INSEAD Business School

Daniel Simonovich is an Adjunct Professor at INSEAD and a full professor at ESB Business School where he was Dean (one of Germany’s youngest) and university vice president. Prior to that he pursued a strategy consulting career at Booz & Company where he led projects in high-tech, telecommunications, utilities, healthcare and IT strategy. Before joining Booz, he worked for CSC Index, an M.I.T. spinoff specializing in change management consulting.

He has provided executive training and advisory to companies from a range of sectors including Roland Berger, Daimler, Deutsche Bahn, EADS, Heidelberg Druck, MLP and Roche Diagnostics.

Daniel has taught at ESB, the Executive MBA programmes of HEC Paris and the Technical University of Munich and in the StGallen Management Programme for SMEs. He received the 2007 Euro-FH best teaching award. Crossing business discipline boundaries, he developed distance-learning study material in the areas of strategy, organisational behaviour, quantitative methods and information systems. He published books in the area of organization.

He holds a doctorate from EBS University in Germany, an MBA from INSEAD and graduate degrees in computer science and business from the University of Cambridge, the Ecole Centrale Paris and the University of Hamburg. He earned scholarships from the German National Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung) and the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation.
