Biography
Harvard Medical School
Dr. David C. Brooks is the director of minimally invasive surgery and program director of the advanced minimally invasive fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). In addition to being a senior surgeon at BWH, Dr. Brooks is an associate professor at Harvard Medical School and was named one of Boston’s best doctors by Boston Magazine.
Dr. Brooks received his medical degree from Brown University school of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship in surgery at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Brooks is board certified in general surgery.
Dr. Brooks has clinical interests in cancer surgery, esophageal disease and surgery, gallstone disease, gastrointestinal disease and surgery, general surgery, hernia repair, laparoscopic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, pancreatic disease and surgery, and supraesophageal reflux disease.
