Alberta School of Business
David is CEO of FIRMA Foreign Exchange Corporation, one of Canada's leading foreign exchange brokerage and international payments firms. In addition, he is the founding partner of 3D Capital Inc., a financial and strategic advisory firm active in Western Canada. David’s career includes leadership roles in public and private enterprises active in oil and gas services, gas transportation and gas processing, distribution and manufacturing, as well as fifteen years experience in the investment and commercial banking sectors. He has held directorships in a wide variety of not-for-profit, private, public and public sector boards and is currently Chair Chandos Construction LP, Chair 3D Capital Inc., director and Chair Governance of Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation and director of the University of Winnipeg Foundation. Areas of expertise include: strategic planning, board governance, financial management and analysis, marketing and investor relations. He is an active contributor to a wide range of local charities, most recently as Chair of the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation, Chair of the Audit Committee of The Military Museums Foundation in Calgary, member of the 2013 PC Leader's Dinner organizing committee, and founding member of the UofA School of Business Small and Medium Enterprises Advisory Board. David holds an Masters in Management from the J.L.Kellogg School of Management, 1980, a BA in Mathematics from the University of Winnipeg, 1978, and the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors of Canada.
