Bloomington School of Public and Environmental Affairs

David G. Henry is a homeland security specialist, focusing on improving information sharing among governmental partners.

David is currently a senior associate with Arc Aspicio--a management consulting and information technology company that focuses on homeland security and intelligence. In this position, he supports the US Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Information Network program as a Mission Advocate supporting mission integration, special events and daily operations in thirteen Midwestern states.

Prior to his service at Arc Aspicio, David worked in non-governmental associations in Washington, DC. He was the senior policy analyst for homeland security and public safety at the bipartisan National Governors Association and a senior program analyst for pandemic and catastrophic preparedness at the National Association of County and City Health Officials.

David began his preparedness career as the public health preparedness and bioterrorism coordinator for Monroe County, Indiana, serving as the county’s principal public health planner for pandemic influenza, bioterrorism, and preparedness. Concurrently, he was director of the county’s Medical Reserve Corps. He was also a Capital City Management Fellow with the Government of the District of Columbia.

Mr. Henry earned a master's degree in public affairs from Indiana University, a bachelor of arts from Baldwin Wallace University and a PDS Certificate from the FEMA Emergency Management Institute. He is a member of the FBI InfraGard--Indiana Chapter. He is an adjunct lecturer in homeland security policy at Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
