Cork University Business School

David Hogan has extensive financial and industry experience in a professional setting which he has built up over the past 19 years. He has held responsible positions from Credit Portfolio Manager for AIB to Case Manager for NAMA, all within large organisations. He has proven technical analytical capabilities, managed teams of people and helped to deliver on large scale national projects.

In recent years David has developed a deep understanding of the third-level education sector. He has lectured in technical subjects such as management accounting, cost management, business ethics and entrepreneurial finance while working exclusively on projects related to the third-level sector. David co-authored UCC’s Economic & Societal Impact Study in 2018, the first of its kind for UCC. He was involved in all aspects of the project from data collation and data analysis, peer review, engagement of third parties, to report writing and ultimate project presentation. David’s expertise in the area has seen him invited to lead subsequent impact reports and assessments on behalf of Cork University Business School for APC Microbiome Ireland among other world-leading research institutes.

More recently in 2019, on invitation, David successfully worked as Institutional Research Officer for UCC with responsibility for improving university ranking performance among other key tasks. David was appointed Data & Institutional Research Officer for UCC in January 2020.

David holds a Masters in Corporate Finance from UCC (1st), a Higher Diploma in Management & Marketing from UCC (hons), a BA in Public Administration from University of Limerick (hons) and is also a Qualified Financial Advisor as awarded by UCD and the Institute of Banking in Ireland.
