Center for Creative Leadership

Over the last 15 years, David has focused on multicultural leadership and team effectiveness. He moved to Colorado Springs in early 2014, having lived and worked in Europe since 1992. His business experience includes: management positions in diverse industries, financial and product management, development and delivery of large change programs, experience in all aspects of sales from salesman to sales management and training. He has worked in industries including: raw materials, banking, electronics, legal, hi-tech, power generation, medical, and publishing. David has worked throughout Western Europe and on the East and West Coast of the USA. He is fluent in English, German, French and Spanish, carrying out coaching, leadership training and Organizational Development work in all those languages.His passion is to work with leaders and leadership issues that arise across cultures. Additionally, he has co-developed and delivers a workshop which trains people in the special skills needed to become effective team coaches.

David has worked for several companies including Air Liquide, Citibank, Future Electronics, ESO and Siemens. He has written several articles about how to recognize and work with cultural differences in business. He is a Master Trainer for the Center for Applied Cognitive Science. He is well known in the field of team coaching, having trained over 100 coaches in his team coach workshop.

Working with large groups is also one of David’s passions. He has hosted many World Café meetings with up to 350 participants, is also an Open Space facilitator, Future Search facilitator, Dialogue (D. Boehm) and Appreciative Inquiry facilitator.

David is a senior faculty member who joined CCL full time in 2014. He is a lead trainer in CCL’s Leading Strategically Program. He also designs and delivers custom interventions; facilitates organizational leadership initiatives, change strategies, and culture work.

David studied Political Science and Economics while an undergraduate at UC Berkeley. He received his Master’s Degree in International Affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University in New York City.
