David Iscoe

David Iscoe is the Guidance Coach at Follow Us to Success. David is a writer and teacher with years of experience in professional comedy. He specializes in individualized feedback and helping each student find and express his/her personal stories. After attending public high school in Washington, D.C., David graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in history, and has worked as a local journalist, an EMT, an editor at the music startup Genius, and a staff writer and head writer in the video department at The Onion. He also teaches comedy workshops for adults, and works as a writing coach.

David was drawn to work with Follow Us when he saw a way to combine his teaching skills, his personal high-school-to-college journey, and his belief in socioeconomic equality.

When he's not on the job or working on one of his many creative projects, David likes to play basketball, hike, and volunteer with local civics groups.
