Dr. Shein brings over 25 years of clinical experience, and a background in academics to his primary care practice.
He explains that true primary care delivers complete care. In fact, Dr. Shein authored an article in a major medical journal on the importance of primary care.
Dr. Shein served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School for over 20 years; in 2015 he was promoted to Assistant Professor. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the New England College of Optometry, and Co-editor of a textbook, Clinical Medicine for Optometrists. He has served on the Friends of Brookline Public Health when living in Brookline, and when he moved to Newton, he was appointed (by then Mayor Cohen) to the Newton Public Health Advisory Committee.
