Adjunct assistant professor of social welfare policy at Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, CUNY. Scholarly interests include the intersection of economics, public policy and social work, the feminization of poverty, and the effects of managerialism on social work practice. I serve on the leadership team of the National Social Work Voter Mobilization Group (Voting is Social Work), which provides social work students, educators, and practitioners with training and resources to further social justice through non-partisan voter engagement.
