Harris School of Public Policy

Deion Lemelle is an Assistant Director of the Center For Effective Government, where he manages engagement efforts, communications, and a portfolio of initiatives while supporting the Center's strategy and operations.

Prior to joining the team full-time, Deion served as a Graduate Assistant to the Center for Effective Government during his time as a Master of Public Policy student at Harris. While a Harris student, Deion was involved in the Black Graduate Coalition, Minorities in Public Policy Studies (MiPPS), and the Harris Mentor Program.

A Navy veteran, Deion Lemelle earned his pilot’s license at age 18, earned a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering from Tuskegee University, and was extensively involved in Navy ROTC before serving as an officer in the Navy for more than two years.
