Biography
Denis Bourgeois has spent twenty years in operations: ten years as an NGO officer and ten years in business, as a start-up leader and as an executive. Then, twenty years ago, he "crossed the border" and has ever since combined consulting, training and research activities. His field of interest are the human dynamics within organizations, particularly in times of change, and the ways to make work meaningful, for oneself and for others He has consulted for a variety of firms, administrations and social businesses. In his training activities at HEC, he has been mainly involved in executive education, directing executive Masters and in-company programmes. His main research and publications have dealt with the impact of enhanced customer pressure and new customer relationships within organizations, and with social responsibility strategies regarding local employment in a globalization context. He his also co-author of "Comportement humain et management" (Human Behavior and Organization), Pearson Education, Paris, 3rd edition, 2009.

Academic responsibilities at HEC
Directing and teaching in executive education projects for client companies. Main clients: Colas, Indian Railways, RATP, SAUR, SPIE, UNDP.Most frequent general purpose of those programmes: helping executives to prepare for managing in a more complex and changing environments; enabling them to become more reflective about their work.
2014- Emeritus Professor.
2010-2014 HEC Graduate programme: co-directing the major "altermanagement".
2003-2009 Co-Directing "Consulting and Coaching for Change" Executive MSc programme, jointly run with Oxford University.
1999-2013 Affiliate Professor.
