Biography
School of International and Public Affairs
Dino Sossi has produced media for AOL, CBS newsmagazine “60 Minutes,” CNN, the New York Times, the United Nations and Viacom’s vh1. His documentary films have screened at festivals in New York and Los Angeles, academic institutions such as Berkeley, Cambridge, Columbia, Harvard, Oxford and Pennsylvania, as well as the United Nations headquarters in New York. Dino’s work has been broadcast on CBC, CTV, Discovery USA, Globe & Mail, IFC, Life, MTV Canada, MuchMoreMusic, One, Pridevision and PrimeTV. His digital storytelling has been exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Dino taught and was a digital media consultant at Columbia. He also taught digital storytelling at Adelphi University. Dino has performed storytelling at the Moth StorySLAM in New York.
In addition to teaching at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), Dino is currently working in digital publishing at EdLab, a research, design and innovation unit at Columbia University’s Teachers College.
Dino earned his Doctorate, Master of Arts and Master of Education in Instructional Technology and Media at Columbia University. He earned first class honors for his Master of Philosophy thesis at the University of Cambridge where he also performed with the Footlights comedy troupe. Dino previously studied at Columbia Law School’s School Law Institute and the Oxford Internet Institute Summer Doctoral Programme.
