Biography

Don Goldstein is retired as Professor of Economics at Allegheny College, where he helped lead the Managerial Economics program and establish the Center for Business and Economics. Don is continuing to research corporate changes related to environmental and labor issues.

He is also active in local efforts like Common Roots, working in Crawford County on community empowerment through affordable and sustainable housing; and Fair Districts PA, as northwest regional coordinator in a statewide campaign against gerrymandering. Don received a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and a doctorate from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and has been a Fulbright Scholar abroad and a Brookings Research Fellow in Washington, DC.
