EXCLUSIVE – Doug Nielson, Senior Vice President, Innovation Research and Development at U.S. Bank, has joined the speaker faculty for Bank Innovation 2018.

Bank Innovation 2018 will take place March 5-6 in San Francisco.

As senior VP of Innovation Research and Development at the bank, Nielson leads the R&D team, which identifies and explores new concepts, technologies and business models to generate new revenue streams and enable business line growth across the bank. Along with his team, he also manages U.S. Bank’s engagement with the fintech startup ecosystem and has been leading U.S. Bank’s participation in the open API economy.

Before this, Nielson had various management roles at companies like American Express in the U.S. and Europe, where he launched many innovative payment solutions.

Nielson will be speaking on the panel: Spurring API and Open Banking Adoption. He will be joined by Deva Annamalai, Director, Innovation and Client Engagement, Fiserv and Kerry Langstaff, Chief Marketing Officer, Xignite.

The event will also feature speakers from Chain, Visa, Royal Bank of Canada, Mastercard, Wells Fargo, and more.

Attendees to the event will see startup demos, panels and presentations, and have the chance to seek advice and insights from fintech experts at the Innovation Bar.
