Strong, effective leaders have the power to make a difference in people’s lives, but only if they’re given the tools to do so. My tool of choice is emotional intelligence (EQ). EQ training and strategies allow leaders to remain engaged with those they manage while making critical strategic- and performance-based decisions that benefit their organizations.

My background is in both learning and development and real-world business. I possess master’s degrees in Organizational Psychology (MSc) and Leadership (MA), and I’m a Master Trainer and Certified Practitioner of an array of emotional intelligence, risk, and other personality assessments. I’m also the former corporate director of talent strategies at British Columbia’s 22,000 person Interior Health Authority.

I’ve long been fascinated by what makes great leaders, and what approaches, tools, practices, and habits lead to effective leadership. I’m delighted to have the opportunity to put my knowledge to work for more than 100 corporate and individual clients each year, including leaders from the US Government, the US Navy, The National Energy Board, the Government of Alberta, Vanguard, The Conference Board of Canada, the Rotman Business School at the University of Toronto, Telus, Devon Energy, YMCA, and Alberta Health Services to name just a few.
