Dylan Loewe

Dylan Loewe is a former White House speechwriter and a New York Times bestselling ghostwriter. He’s written for presidents and presidential candidates; prime ministers and royalty; the CEOs of Fortune 50 companies; the leaders of global foundations; and some of the world’s most notable athletes and entertainers.

Dylan joined the Obama administration in 2012, serving as special assistant to President Obama and chief speechwriter to Vice President Biden. In 2013, the National Journal named him one of the administration’s top decision-makers.

During the 2012 presidential campaign, Dylan traveled across more than 30 states with Vice President Biden, working with him on nearly every campaign speech. That included the vice president’s address to the Democratic National Convention, which was viewed by 42 million people, more than any convention speech ever delivered.

In addition to his speechwriting work, Dylan has collaborated with numerous authors on their book projects, from Sir Elton John to Senator Kamala Harris. His ghostwriting work, which has resulted in numerous New York Times bestsellers, has been praised as “vivid” and “evocative” by The New York Times, “genuine and heartfelt” by The Washington Post, and “remarkably well written” by the Financial Times. In 2016, he worked with former Israeli president and prime minister Shimon Peres on his memoir, No Room for Small Dreams, which the New York Times described as “amounting to a kind of ideological will and testament.”

Dylan teaches the Art and Science of Effective Speechwriting at Stanford University. He holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School, a master’s in public policy from Harvard University, and a bachelor’s in political science from UCLA.
