Biography
Stockholm School of Economics
Ebba Sjögren is on leave of absence during the academic year 2017/2018.
She joined the Department of Accounting in 2009, after defending her PhD in 2006 (SSE, Department of Management & Organization), and is affiliated to the Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets (Misum).
She currently works with Associate Professor Karin Svedberg-Helgesson (SSE) and Professor Ulrika Mörth (Stockholm University) on a project funded by the Ragnar Söderberg Foundation which investigates how a "risk-based approach" to anti-money laundering regulation is implemented in three industries: financial services, audit and law.
In a second project, funded by the Swedish Research Council/Vetenskapsrådet (2015-2017), she collaborates with Assistant Professors Anja Hjelström and Tomas Hjelström (SSE) in studying the decision usefulness of financial reporting information from a user perspective. This research has also been supported by the Swedish Enterprise Accounting Group within the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise. For a recent report see here.
Since 2017, she works with Professor Hans Kjellberg (SSE) and Dr. Linus Johansson Krafve (SIR) on valuation and price formation in markets for in-patient pharmaceutical treatments. This project is funded by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond.
Ebba Sjögren is the main supervisor for Emilia Cederberg, sits on the Board of Editors of the journal Valuation Studies and is an Alternate member of the Swedish Better Regulation Council (Regelrådet). She is a former Jan Wallander post-doctoral fellow (2007-2010) and board member of the academic think tank Leading Health Care (2010-2012).
