Edmond Choi

Dr Edmond Choi is currently an assistant professor at the School of Nursing and the warden of Lee Chi Hung Hall at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He completed his Master of Philosophy degree in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care at HKU and his Doctor of Philosophy degree at the HKU School of Nursing. His research interests include sexual health, men’s health, mental health, and health-related quality of life. He has obtained several competitive research grants, including the General Research Fund and Early Career Scheme from the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong. In addition, he is the author of more than 90 articles in international peer-reviewed journals. He is the editor of Health & Social Care in the Community and the associate editor of BMC Psychology.

Edmond teaches a wide range of courses at HKU, including research methodology, epidemiology, and global health nursing. He has developed experiential learning projects in Uganda and China. In 2020, his contributions to teaching and learning were recognised by the HKU Early Career Teaching Award, and the Faculty Teaching Medal from the LKS Faculty of Medicine, HKU.
