Elise Meijer

Elise Meijer combines an academic background with over 12 years of practical experience in the field of (open) innovation, M&As, alliances and (corporate) entrepreneurship. Currently, she holds a position as Academic Director of the Master Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Professor at the Antwerp Management School. She’s also an innovation consultant at Monitor Deloitte, where she helps multinationals to innovate. Before she was employed at Vascobelo, a start-up company in the food and beverages industry in Antwerp. As co-founder she was responsible for M&A strategy and business development. Before she joined PwC in Amsterdam as senior consultant Transaction Services where she was involved in several (international) M&A projects with a special focus on post-merger integration.

She obtained a Master degree in Industrial Engineering and Innovation Management of the Einhoven University of Technology (TU/e), The Netherlands. For her PhD-project regarding the management of alliance teams in cooperation with multinationals such as Unilever, Shell, DSM, Dow, Philips, Océ, Essent, Danone, Agfa, ASML, NXP and their alliance partners, she received both a PhD-degree in Industrial Engineering and Innovation Management of the TU/e and a PhD-degree in Applied Economics of the University of Antwerp, Belgium. During her PhD she was also contracted as a consultant by organizations such as the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, TNO, DHV and NRW International GmbH to advise them on their alliances.
