Australia and New Zealand School of Government
Emily Jenke is one of Australia’s most skilled engagement practitioners and an accomplished and talented facilitator of nearly 20 years.
Emily is highly regarded as a specialist in deliberative practice by her clients and peers and before creating democracyCo ran a thriving business in SA in this field. Her expertise in designing and delivering deliberative engagement approaches is unparalleled. Emily has skills working with large groups (500+) and small teams – on topics that require technical application and or are highly values driven.
Emily’s facilitation experience is broad – having facilitated processes around the SA Strategic Plan, The Murray Darling Basin Plan, Strategic Plans for Darwin and Palmerston, a Better Suburbs Statement for ACT along with countless state and local government strategies and supporting not for profits to reshape their offering.
Emily is skilled in strategic planning, team building, policy development and problem solving and draws on a huge list of facilitation and support techniques to work with her clients. Emily also offers networks across Australian and internationally. Emily has a degree in Agricultural Business with an interest in the environment. Emily is the current Presiding Member of the SA Native Vegetation Council, sits on the Basin Community Consultative Committee (Murray Darling Basin Authority) and is a member of the River Murray Advisory Committee in South Australia. Emily runs a boutique food business Talinga Grove with her family (husband Paul and three great kids) on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula.
