Biography
UW Professional & Continuing Education
Enzhou Wang is the chief data officer at the City of Tacoma. He is responsible for developing the City’s data strategy and advancing technologies for data-supported decision-making. Before joining the City of Tacoma in 2022, he was a senior IT manager at the City of Bellevue for more than five years. He managed application development, including GIS development. Several applications his team developed won the Public Technology Institute awards in the GIS category.
Before joining the City of Bellevue, he worked as an enterprise architect and software developer at Seattle City Light, Microsoft and Esri. He holds a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in GIS from Ohio State University.
