EXPERTISE/RESEARCH INTERESTS
Professor Ewa Sletten’s research focuses on how strategic considerations influence managers’ voluntary disclosure choices, as well as the implications of these choices for financial reporting and capital markets. She is also interested in international reporting issues, in particular the factors that contribute to country-level adoptions of International Financial Reporting Standards.
SELECTED APPOINTMENTS AND AWARDS
In 2008, Professor Sletten received the Best Dissertation Award from the Financial Accounting and Reporting Section of the American Accounting Association.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
Before joining Boston College, Professor Sletten spent four years on the faculty of the Sloan School of Management at MIT, where she was nominated for the Excellence in Teaching Award. Her teaching experience encompasses courses at the undergraduate, M.B.A. and Ph.D. levels, including Financial Statement Analysis, Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting courses. She is also a licensed CPA.
