Biography
MIT CTL: MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics
Fábio Castro is a PhD student and Research Assistant at CTL through MIT’s Civil Engineering Department. As part of the MIT CTL GeneSys Project, his current research focuses on logistics, operations and supply chain management for small companies in developing countries.
He received his Bachelor in Civil Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas - Unicamp, in Brazil; his MBA in Logistics and Supply Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas - FGV, in Brazil; and his Masters in Supply Chain Management from MIT's Center of Transportation and Logistics.
Fabio's industry experience prior to joining CTL includes work at Petrobras as field engineer, project drilling engineer and project logistics coordinator; at Doctors Without Borders as supply manager; and as partner and manager of a gas station chain and a solar energy company.
