Bio
Professor Varas is an Assistant Professor in the Finance area. He received his PhD in Finance from Stanford University. Professor Varas’s research is in the areas of corporate finance, contract theory, and information economics. His current work focuses on the design of long term contracts, the role of asymmetric information on trading dynamics, and the determinants of the timing and content of financial disclosure. He teaches Foundations of Corporate Finance and Corporate Finance Theory.
