Biography

Fiona Ross is the Director of the National Library of Ireland and holds several non-executive appointments including Chair of the Consortium of National and University Libraries in Ireland, Vice-Chair of the Council of National Cultural Institutions in Ireland, and an External Advisory Board member, College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences, University College Cork. She has recently been appointed as a non-executive director of the National Archives, Kew and the Registers of Scotland. Fiona also lectures in leadership and governance at the Irish Management Institute.
Prior to her current role, Fiona was a finance professional for over 20 years, working in Ireland, the UK, Europe, Asia and the United States, and spent several years in senior finance, marketing and communications roles.
