Biography
SDA Bocconi School of Management
I am an Associate Professor in the Accounting Department at Bocconi University. I received a B.A. from Bocconi University, a PhD in Economics from the University of Padova, and a postdoc in Accounting at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. My research has appeared in leading academic journals, such as the Accounting Review, Management Science, and Contemporary Accounting Research, as well as in various media and academic blogs (The Guardian, The BBC, Barron’s, The Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance, and The Columbia Law School’s Blog on Corporate Governance). Before joining Bocconi, I was on the faculty at London Business School from 2007 to 2021.
I am member of the American Accounting Association (since 2004) and the European Institute of Advanced Studies in Management (since 2003). I have been member of the scientific committees for the European Accounting Association Annual Meeting and the Italian Evaluation of Universities and Research Institute. I regularly serve as referee for leading academic journals such as The Accounting Review, the Review of Accounting Studies, the Management Science, and the Contemporary Accounting Research. My research has been presented at prestigious universities and at leading accounting conferences.
