Biography

Villanova University

I am currently a Visiting Laboratory Instructor teaching Human Anatomy & Physiology at Villanova University while simultaneously finishing my M.S. & working as a laboratory technician to monitor the spread of SARS-CoV2 throughout campus.

As an instructor I spend my time teaching undergraduates, mostly comprised of nursing students, about the anatomy of the human body & how that relates to the function of all of the systems of the body. As a student researcher I have spent my time studying the effects of Brd2 deficiency in the later development of the cerebellum in zebrafish. This has been done under the direction of Dr. Angela DiBenedetto, PhD in her epigenetics and developmental biology laboratory. I have recently begun working under the direction of Dr. Elaine Youngman, PhD as a laboratory technician performing RT-qPCR-based surveillance for SARS-CoV2 to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 between students on campus.
