Biography
Management School ESSCA
Gaël Bertrand is a professor of entrepreneurship, in charge of introducing entrepreneurship to second-year students at ESSCA. He is also in charge of the local link with student entrepreneurial institutions (PEPITE in particular). In addition, he is also in charge of the new Master’s degree in Tourism and E-Business, which opens on the Aix en Provence campus.
His teaching and research themes overlap, and revolve around entrepreneurship, the world of services, the performance and survival of newly created SMEs and the particular world of RHCs (for which he devotes a great deal of passion in his spare time). He has the regular opportunity to participate as a researcher in some international and/or Francophone conferences such as BCERC or ICSB and the Academy of Entrepreneurship, which awarded him the prize for the best young researcher at the 2013 edition.
Curious about everything, he is also an entrepreneur and has had the opportunity to contribute as a partner and expert to several creative projects (both in the fields of restoration and digital), some of which are still alive after more than 10 years of activity.
