Overview
Gail Millin-Chalabi is the GIS and Remote Sensing Officer for SEED, with research interests in the application of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) for burn scar detection in UK moorland environments. In addition her work is focused on the development of a business case proposing a Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI) for SEED. Gail''s interest for SDI development originates from her previous work experience at Mimas and the USGS. Gail has also combined her expertise in burn scar characterisation with SAR and SDI development to develop the EnviroSAR initiative which will provide a geoportal for burned area monitoring for UK wildfires.
