Professor Hite is an adjunct Professor of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University and teaches U6301 Corporate Finance. His research interests include corporate restructuring, dividends and dividend policy, capital structure, corporate bond ratings, executive compensation, company valuation and various other topics in financial economics.

Professor Hite taught at Columbia Business School for 25 years prior to his retirement in 2012 and joined SIPA part-time in 2014. He received his BA from the Ohio State University and his MA and PhD from the University of Washington in Seattle.

Biography

Professor Hite teaches the core course on corporate finance in the full-time and Executive MBA programs and coordinates the adjunct faculty. His research interests include corporate restructuring, dividends and dividend policy, capital structure, corporate bond ratings, executive compensation and valuation.
