George Logush

Professor of Management

Biography

Dr. George Logush is Vice-Rector for Strategy and Program Development, as well as Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Lviv School of Business, at the Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU) in Ukraine. He is a Senator at UCU and has also served on the Oversight Boards for the International Management Institute (IMI) in Kyiv and the Kyiv School of Economics. He was Assistant and Associate Dean, Professor, and Director of the Institute of International Business at Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business in New York City (1975-1992).

He holds a PhD and an MA in Economics from New York University, a BS in Engineering Science and Economics from the City University of New York, and a Corporate Executive Program at the Kellogg School of Northwestern University. His research interests, publications, conference papers, and proprietary research focus on: comparative leadership and management; macroeconomic policy, business cycles, and management strategy; industry and public policy studies. His work has been funded by the National Science Foundation (US), Fulbright, IREX, US GAO, US Health Care Financing Administration, US AID.

He has taught/lectured in the US and Europe, including Northwestern U, Harvard U, NYU, University of Warsaw, SGPiS/Warsaw School of Economics, Polish Academy of Sciences, Institute of World Economy Bucharest, Ukrainian Academy of sciences, UCU, IMI Kyiv, Kyiv-Mohyla University Business School, as well as in IBM’s C-Suite Executive Program for many years.

His executive business experience includes: VP at Kraft Foods International as well as Managing Director for Kraft Foods for Ukraine, Eastern Europe and Central Asia (1995-2011); VP at MHP (largest poultry producer in Europe); founder and Managing Director for RJ Reynolds and KPMG in Ukraine; cofounder and COO (1980-1992) of Garden State Health Plan HMO (Princeton, NJ). His board experience includes: Kraft Foods CEEMA BoM, Garden State Health Plan HMO, Milkiland NV, MHP, Chumak Foods, American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (Vice-Chairman, 2004-2011). His consulting experience includes: Citibank, American Cyanamid, PWC/Coopers&Lybrand, UN Centre on Transnational Corporations, US General Accounting Office, US Health Care Financing Administration, NJ Department of Health and Human Services, Pennsylvania Department of Health. During 2004- 2010, he was a member of: Foreign Investment Advisory Council to the President of Ukraine; Council on Culture to the President of Ukraine; Council of Investors to the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
