Biography
IESE Business School
German Loewe is Senior Lecturer in the Managerial Decision Sciences Department since 2010. Previously he held academic positions at Universitat de Barcelona and Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where he taught Mathematics, Decision Theory and Strategy. He holds a PhD in Mathematical Economics from the Universitat de Barcelona, and a PADE from IESE Business School. His research interests are intertemporal decision theory, consumer data and behavioral science.
As an entrepreneur, he founded and was the CEO of the company Netquest for 19 years, a consumer-data, digital company employing over 350 people in 12 countries. Netquest is now part of the GfK group. In 2019 he founded Shalion, an e-commerce data specialist. Professor Loewe is currently also an investor in the digital & tec space, holding board positions in Shalion (ecommerce-data), Fiction Express (ed-tec) and MrNoow (food-tec). For 7 years he was also member of the board of Credimarket (fin-tec), now part of the Bauer Media group.
