Biography

Dr Chua is a paediatric specialist with interest in paediatric immunology, allergy and infectious diseases. He received his medical degree from the LKS Faculty of Medicine and joined the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, Queen Mary Hospital after graduation. He has joined the subspecialty training program in Paediatric Immunology and Infectious diseases and has been providing clinical services in the diagnosis and management of children with immunodeficiencies, childhood atopy diseases and infectious diseases. Dr Chua also leads the dust mite sublingual immunotherapy program as well as the pilot food allergy immunotherapy at the Allergy Clinic of the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, Queen Mary Hospital. His research interests include common food allergies and anaphylaxis in children, especially for peanut, egg and milk allergies, sublingual dust mite immunotherapy and the impact of COVID-19 in children.
