SDA Bocconi School of Management

Giovanni Fosti is an Associate Professor of Practice in Welfare and Social Innnovation at SDA Bocconi School of Management. He is an Adjunct Professor of "Public Administration Economics and Management" at Università Bocconi

At SDA Bocconi, he was the Director of the Master EMMAP (Executive Master in Management of Public Administration) from 2009 to 2013, Director of the Master EMMEL (Executive Master in Management degli Enti Locali) from 2008 to 2010 and Director of the Master MMP (Master in Management Pubblico) from 2006 to 2009. He has conducted research and education projects for regional Italian institutions, local institutions, healthcare companies and non-profit companies. He was Head of the “Social Policy and Service Management” Area of CERGAS – the Centre For Research on Health and Social Care Management from 2011 to 2018.

His research activities focus on public administrations, social and residential services. His main areas of research are: innovation processes in welfare systems; public governance, institutional arrangements and forms of management in social services and healthcare partners; strategy and service management; programming and service networks. He is the author of numerous books and articles on his topics of interest.

Giovanni earned a degree in Business Administration from Università Bocconi.
