McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin 2013 – Present  Lecturer: Business, Government & Society Department Grace Fisher Renbarger, PLLC, Austin, TX 2010 – Present  Private law practice and consulting (corporate governance, business ethics and compliance), business development coaching , Dell Inc., Round Rock, TX 1997 – 2010 VICE PRESIDENT, CHIEF ETHICS & COMPLIANCE OFFICER (2007 – 2010)  Led global team of professionals responsible for developing and implementing company’s global ethics and compliance program in alignment with company strategy and using model program elements of U.S. Federal Sentencing Guidelines and other best practices. VICE PRESIDENT, LITIGATION & EMPLOYMENT LAW (1999 – 2007) & Government Affairs (2002 – 2005) Litigation:  Led team of professionals responsible for managing company’s litigation and other disputed matters, including individual and class action lawsuits, third party subpoenas and government investigations/enforcement proceedings. Representative matters included employment discrimination, products liability, deceptive trade practices, antitrust, securities fraud, contract disputes, false claims act (qui tam), non-competition agreements, and theft of trade secrets. Also partnered with intellectual property attorneys in managing patent, trademark and copyright litigation. Employment Law:  Managed team of employment law and immigration attorneys; direct involvement in significant employment lawsuits, major human resources strategic initiatives, and senior executive severances. Government Affairs:  Led team of professionals responsible for establishing and executing company’s U.S. public policy strategy at local, state and federal level; began expansion of GA function outside U.S. DIRECTOR, LABOR & EMPLOYMENT LAW (1997 – 1999)  Provided preventive counseling, policy drafting, advice, and training to human resources and business leaders in connection with labor and employment matters, including employment discrimination, wage and hour law, immigration, employee privacy, labor relations, internal investigations, non-competition agreements, protection of confidential information and trade secrets, and wrongful discharge.
