Biography
Hertie School of Governance
Harry Bauer joined the Hertie School in September 2018. Before that, he held teaching posts at University College London, the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), the University of Mannheim and Trier University. His interests lie in the fields of global governance, global environmental politics, non-state actors in world politics, international relations theory and theories of social action. Previously, he edited Millennium: Journal of International Studies and worked as International Associate Editor for openDemocracy. Bauer was a Some Institutes for Advanced Study (SIAS) Fellow for action theory in philosophy and the social sciences in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 2009 and 2010. Bauer was educated at Trier University and LSE. He also has a long-standing interest in food and works as a Consultant in Food Research and Development.
