Biography
Harry G. Chernoff is Clinical Professor of Operations Management at NYU Stern School of Business. He has been a member of the faculty of the Stern School for over 30 years. He has received numerous honors and awards for excellence in teaching. His early teachings brought the topic of operations management to Stern, and led to the development of the course and department.
Professor Chernoff teaches in the full-time M.B.A. Program, the part-time Langone M.B.A. Program and numerous executive M.B.A. programs. He is the Academic Director of the NYU Stern Master of Science in Business Analytics Program. He has also taught in international programs at business schools and private industry training centers in Bordeaux, France, Vienna, Austria, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and Wuhan, China.
Professor Chernoff's business experience outside academia is in the real estate and hospitality industries. He is an owner and developer of real estate projects in Manhattan and the New York City area since 1980 including commercial, residential and hotel properties. He currently owns and operates a number of properties in NYC, Las Vegas and Panama, including a hotel and restaurant. He brings much of his real estate experience from industry into the classroom, combined with industry-leading guest speakers.
