Hervé Crès is a Professor of Economics at New York University in Abu Dhabi. He has been previously a professor at the University of Pennsylvania, at HEC, Paris, and at Sciènces Po, Paris; he has also taught at the University of Copenhagen, the University of Geneva, Koç University in Istanbul and Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore.
His main research interests are in general equilibrium theory, social choice theory, and formal political theory, with a particular emphasis on the study of the role of collective decision mechanisms to fix market failures. Hervé Crès has held various leadership positions, among which Deputy Director of HEC Grande Ecole, and Vice-president and Interim Director at Sciènces Po.
