Biography
Professor Hyunseob Kim is an assistant professor of finance at the Johnson Graduate School of Management. His research covers topics in corporate finance and labor economics, such as the effects of asset and labor market frictions on corporate financial and investment policies and the effects of corporate governance, financial distress, and labor contracts on productivity, wages, and asset reallocations. His work has been published in leading academic journals in finance and economics, such as the Review of Financial Studies and the National Tax Journal. He received the Michael J. Brennan Best Paper Award from the Review of Financial Studies and the SFS Finance Cavalcade Award for Best Paper in Corporate Finance from the Society for Financial Studies. Professor Kim earned his PhD in business administration (finance) from Duke University, an AM in statistics from Harvard University, and a BBA in business administration from Seoul National University.
